During today’s networking reception at the European Fur Information Centre’s exhibition stand in the European Parliament, Parliament staff staged a silent protest. Dressed in black t-shirts fronted with anti-fur slogans, they marched in front of Mr Pertti Fallenius, CEO of Saga Furs, during his welcome speech. The protestors stood in silence holding up posters that encouraged a boycott of fur.
“Today the European Parliament’s staff expressed exactly how they feel about the promotion of fur goods – ‘it has no place in today’s society’”, said Daniel Turner, spokesperson for ENDCAP. “The European Parliament is the heart of democracy!”
