Back in July we announced that ENDCAP members The Born Free Foundation were set to rescue the last two circus lions in Bulgaria.
 
Today we are pleased to share the news that both lion brothers, Jorah and Black, have arrived safely at Shamwari Game Reserve. They were introduced to their large enclosure yesterday.
 
Jorah and Black had been retired from the circus since last summer, following a ban passed by the Bulgarian government on the use of wild animals in circuses. Since the ban they were kept in a cage with no access to water or shade by their owner who did not know what to do with them.
 
Fortunately they were rescued by Born Free and can now enjoy their new home.
